This was filmed in the front seat of my van, Andy was showing me the chord progressions he was working on, heavily influenced by classical composers such as Bach & Mozart - one of my personal favorites.

I enjoyed making this video, against the backdrop of a Rugby World cup themed bus shelter, together with sound effects.There is a mexican /Spanish influence in the guitar.

Andy Blue - Eastbourne

Andy & I spent nearly 6mths living in a van - with the dog. there wasn't much room but we made the most of what we had, staying at many beautiful beaches. somedays there just wasn't enough room in the van. On this day, we found refuge in a public bathroom - (I have to say it was very clean) - and filmed the first of many videos to be made on my new mobile phone. The sound quality is pretty good for a phone, the video is best shown at a smaller size, good for youtube, but not for the big screen.

Andy is one of the most innovative, versatile & generally amazing guitarists I have had the pleasure to know personally, he is also my partner in music & life. I've been filming Andy in various locations around wellington, as he develops some exciting new directions with his music. His influences range from Jimi Hendrix & Stevie Ray Vaugn, to Segovia & Django Reinhardt. Andy is totally self taught, he listens to a vast range of music & is constantly pushing himself to expand & develop his music. Starting playing on the street from a young age, forced to fend for himself from his teenage years, the street was for many years his home & his refuge. Andy has always found solace & self expression in the guitar. Although Andy struggles at times to communicate in English,(having grown up in a Samoan family, & only discovering English when he started school at 5 yrs old), he is however, fluent in all languages of the guitar. Andy takes in influences from around the world, and blends them into something new, taking the listener on a journey around the world and across time with his truly unique interpretations. I hope that as I share more of his music, it will inspire you as much as it has inspired me.

haven't posted anything here for a while, been filming andy Blue on guitar & have lots of new Videos to post. Had a few technical issues that have delayed me, but they are finally sorted. So expect a lot more here from now on. Hope to get some of Andy & I playing together, but a bit hard when I am doing the filming !!
